Born in Switzerland, Marie N. Guex graduated from the International Center of Photography, New York. She studied under Robert Blake, Allen Frame, Marina Berio and Barron Rachman. Involved with image for almost 20 years, she worked and collaborated with many swiss institutions (Valais Media Library, Swiss Broadcasting Corporation, UBS, University of Applied Sciences –Western Switzerland). She is the co-founder of Interface Studio-Theatre (1999), a multimedia workspace and theater dedicated to the recording and live streaming of stage performances. She was the videographer and video-scenographer of Interface Dance Company for seven years (1995-2002). She is the founder of Stage In Focus, provider of promotional images for performing arts. She is the co-founder of the International Society for Contemporary Music Valais/Switzerland (IGNM-VS) together with Javier Hagen, Manuel Mengis & Christophe Fellay. Since 2006 she has been working on fine art projects with both photography and video, exploring images through a symbolic, metaphoric and poetic way.
